Craft Gin Made with Six Ingredients Grown in Ehime
Dogo Gin Rokuhime, a craft gin that is particular about using botanicals from Ehime Prefecture, was born using six princess-like (hime) products nurtured in Ehime.
Enjoy a fresh, sweet, and fragrant aroma reminiscent of white wine, a savory aroma derived from chestnuts and naked barley, a crisp taste derived from the gin's unique spices, and a subtly sweet flavor.
This gin uses an aromatic authentic shochu (barley shochu) made from "naked barley," for which Ehime Prefecture boasts the largest production volume in Japan, as its alcohol base. In addition to juniper berries, the botanicals include "Idai-Gomyo Kogen Grapes (Pione)" certified as a "Matsuyama Agricultural and Marine Product Brand" from Matsuyama City, "Beni no Shizuku" strawberries from Toon City, "Nakayama Chestnuts" certified as a "Masumasu, Iyoshi. Brand" product, "Nanaore Koume" plums from Tobe Town, "Fuji" apples from Kumakogen Town, and "naked barley" from Masaki Town. These six ingredients are blended with seven kinds of herbs and spices.
