A faint, delicate label reminiscent of the legendary "Iyo Usuzumi Sakura"
In ancient times, during the Tenpyo era, it is said that when Emperor Tenmu stayed at Dogo Onsen, the Empress's illness was cured by prayers at Saihoji Temple in Ida. Delighted by this, the Emperor sent an imperial envoy, and the temple is said to have received a cherry tree along with a letter written in light ink. This faint, delicate label is reminiscent of the legendary "Iyo Usuzumi Sakura," which was sung about in Iyo-bushi and Iyo-manzai during the Edo period and is now cherished as a Matsuyama City designated natural monument. This is a junmai-shu made only from rice and rice koji. It is a clear and refreshing sake that pairs well with Ehime's sea bream sashimi.
