A faintly pale bottle reminiscent of the legendary "Iyo Usuzumi-zakura"
In ancient times, during the Tenpyo era, when Emperor Tenmu stayed at Dogo Onsen, it is said that the Empress's illness was cured by prayers at Saihoji Temple in Ida. Delighted by this, the Emperor sent an imperial envoy, and the temple was given a cherry tree along with a letter written in pale ink. This faintly pale bottle is reminiscent of the legendary "Iyo Usuzumi-zakura," which was celebrated in Iyo-bushi and Iyo-manzai during the Edo period and is now cherished as a natural monument designated by Matsuyama City. It is a junmai-shu made only from rice and rice koji. This light and crisp sake pairs well with Ehime's sea bream sashimi.
